Moving Arts

Welcome

This is a home for students, performance art and movement related developments. Nicolina Dante is both a teacher and performer, holding her Masters from the Central School of Speech and Drama (London) in Movement Studies. Originally born and raised in the heart of the New York City’s performing arts and cultural mecca, she has performed in such places as Carnegie Hall, Lincoln Center, Vegas, Macau China, Off-Broadway and the new Royal Shakespeare Company’s Swan Theatre.

Nicolina has been teaching movement and performance for 10 years. Her workshops, classes, direction and coaching are designed for various skill levels, ages and sizes. Classes and workshops specialize in cultivating freedom of movement and making connections. Synthesis of movement techniques and recognized performance methodologies will create the pathway to meet the needs of the student or vision for a production. Research and academic development can also be provided as a Professor, Movement Director or Choreographer for school modules.

Time management and non-verbal communication via body language is also a vital component of her work. Nicolina will give personalized ‘tools’ for interrogation of one's needs and goals by cultivating safe development and locating participant’s physical habits, blocks and postural awareness. Together they can create new and more functional pathways, to tap into and learn more about their individual artistic power.

Always take into consideration the needs of a particular person and keep the process fun and alive. Participants can then organically achieve the fullness of expression for a production or their own development.
